Service & Manifestation – Part 2
Generational Honor
This sermon unpacks the five-fold ministry of Ephesians 4 and issues a clear warning against operating in “borrowed authority”—trying to use God’s power without actually walking with Him. The pastor teaches that spiritual gifts and ministry offices are never meant to elevate our status, but to equip and build up the body of Christ. Drawing on the story of the sons of Sceva in Acts 19, the message shows how dangerous it is to minister in Jesus’ name without real submission to Jesus Himself. Demonic forces recognized that these men had no true spiritual authority because they had no genuine relationship with Christ. Real authority in the Spirit flows from knowing who you are as a son or daughter of God and living in surrendered relationship to Him—not from copying someone else’s style or chasing a title. The sermon urges believers to stop sitting on the sidelines, stop waiting to be noticed, and instead become active participants in God’s work, rooted in a daily, spoken confession and practice of: “Jesus, You are my Lord.”
